From protozoa to mammals - Aquazoo

The Aquazoo is home to more than 400 animal species, mainly reptiles, amphibious animals, fish and insects. Visitors can view or walk through habitats such as a coral reef, a rain forest and a desert. At the same time, you find out about the evolution and history of the earth. If you would like to have an expert answer questions on what you are seeing, and are a group of at least 15, you can book a guided tour. Guided tours can also be arranged for children's birthdays and holiday activities.
After visiting the zoo, if the weather is nice, don't miss a walk in the Nordpark, right were the Aquazoo is actually located..

Wild animals and forest nursery - Grafenberger Wildpark

This is the place to go to if you want to see wild boar, racoons or foxes up close. The grounds of the game park in the Grafenberger Wald are a paradise for friends of nature, both young and old. It is home to almost all the indigenous animals, like red deer, roe deer, fallow deer, mouflon and wild boar. The predators' enclosure with wildcats, foxes and other small predators is especially exciting. The other highlights are the enclosure for mouflons and the large bird house. Children can explore nature in the building of the forest nursery, which houses different exhibits, antlers, an ant colony and a few pond aquaria.

Ponies and fun with animals - Niederheid children's farm

Right next to the adventure park Niederheid you can find goats, poultry and a pig. Children can get a close-up view of how animals are kept on a farm. Young cowboys can get horse rides through the Niederheid woods, and there are riding lessons for those 8 years and above.

Bleating in "Little Düsseldorf" - Petting zoo in Südpark

In the petting zoo in the Südpark, young visitors can stroke the animals such as goats and sheep who stick their heads through the fencing and wait for titbits. Little rabbits nibble on carrots that you bring along and the hens go pecking at grains. But the animals don't just want to be fed, they are also love being stroked.
